Lincoln Performing Arts Centre, Lincoln University
Following the most enjoyable and entertaining Beatles tribute band concert in September last year and others in previous years by popular request a Status Quo Tribute band, Counterfeit Quo have been booked and the concert will be held in the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre at Brayford Pool on the Lincoln University campus on Saturday April 18 2020.
The concert will start at 7.30pm and Counterfeit Quo will entertain us with two sessions of three quarters of an hour and between which we will enjoy a finger buffet with soft drinks, tea and coffee. A licensed bar for the purchase of alcoholic drinks will be open before the concert starts, during the interval and for a time at the end.
The ticket price is £22.00 which includes the buffet. Car parking is available in the adjacent university car park at a pre-booked cost of £1.
Counterfeit Quo is now in its 22nd year and is proud to present the music of one of Britain’s most enduring, popular and successful bands – Status Quo. Formed in 1995 by four hardened Quo fans, Counterfeit Quo have now toured every region of the UK, ventured into Europe and featured on local and national BBC radio. They have also had the honour of working with the original Quo drummer John Coghlan and been given the “seal of approval” from no less than Quo’s very own Francis Rossi and the late, great Rick Parfitt.
An adrenaline fuelled performance romps its way through many of Quo’s top ten chart hits including Rockin’ All Over the World, Down Down and Whatever You Want whilst also giving a nod to classic earlier albums such as Piledriver, Hello and “Quo”. All of this played on the familiar green and white Telecaster guitars for that authentic “Heads Down, No-Nonsense Boogie” that Quo fans know and love!.
Tickets are available from the event coordinator, Barry Topliss.
