Two lodges use NPBF Donations to Support Dementia Care


    Pharos Lodge 6450 and Trent Valley Daylight Lodge 9779 have both given £750 donations from the New Provincial Benevolent Fund to Peggy’s World, and Community Interest Company offering a flexible approach to care and support for dementia sufferers and their families.

    The organisation, based in Scunthorpe, offers a range of services daytime activities, domiciliary care, overnight short breaks from one night to eight weeks, which offers families a consistent approach to their care, thus enriching lives.

    The service offers education and information, practical help for the sufferer, and psychological or emotional support provided free via a Specialist Dementia Nurse.  

    The organisation is run by Tilly Brock, who said: “What Peggy’s World can offer is a flexible approach from a menu of services, and maintain relationships by providing familiar ‘paid for’ carers.  We can offer one-to-one domiciliary care and respite breaks to support the sufferer and their wife or husband. The result is increased wellbeing for person with dementia and their family.”
