Long Sutton Masonic Centre Open Day

An Open Day at the Long Sutton Masonic Centre took place on Friday 30th June and Saturday 1st July 2017.

It was decided some time ago that the Brethren of the Long Suton Masonic Centre should join in the celebrations of our Tercentenary, celebrating 300 years of modern Freemasonry, by having two days at which the general public and those interested in Freemasonry would be able to view our premises. We therefore arranged suitable displays of regalia and information of our charitable work both inside and out of Freemasonry so to enlighten those who are interested in our fraternity. Over the two days we had in excess of 65 visitors, most of which were very interested in our organisation. It had also been an exercise at which we would hopefully attract some new members and we are pleased to say that this will be achieved. We offered light refreshment and our members who attended spent time talking to all those who visited answering various questions that were put to them.

This idea was first put forward by W Bro John Noble and he and I put this event together with various assistance by other members.
