Two Workshops for Lodge Mentors were recently
held in February and March 2018 at Sleaford & Scunthorpe Masonic Halls
respectively. The Workshop Presenters were W Bro David Buckenham (Provincial
Grand Mentor) and W Bro Nick Brown (Paulinus Lodge Mentor).
The theme and agenda for the Workshops
focused on the ‘Members Pathway’ and in particular steps 7-11, which are the
responsibility of the Lodge Mentor. During the Workshop at Sleaford both W Bro
Mike Clay and W Bro Phil Spicksley gave presentations on their experiences of
certain aspects of Mentoring. At Scunthorpe W Bro Barrie Jeffrey and W Bro
Jason Fitzgerald gave similar presentations. A presentation on the Light Blues
Club was also given by W Bro Gary Cadle at the Scunthorpe Workshop.
A total of 58 Brethren attended both venues.
The great majority of attendees were existing Lodge Mentors, those about to be
appointed and several other interested members who came as guests of their
Lodge Mentors.
The Workshops were well supported by the
Provincial Executive with V W Bro John Hockin (Dep Provincial Grand Master) and
W Bro Dave Wheeler (Ass’t Provincial Grand Master) in attendance at
Sleaford. W Bro John Cruthchley (Ass’t
Provincial Grand Master) in attendance at Scunthorpe.
The photographs were taken at the
Scunthorpe Workshop.
