The Universities Scheme

The spirit of the Universities Scheme, established by the United Grand Lodge of England, was summed up by the Grand Master, HRH the Duke of Kent, who said at the 2010 Annual Investiture of Grand Lodge “A real benefit the Scheme confers is having young intelligent men joining us who will, we hope, contribute greatly to the future of the Craft, as potential leaders and sources of inspiration.”

The St Hugh Lodge No 1386 meeting at Lincoln, is very proud to be part of the Universities Scheme, which is restricted to a certain number of Lodges that satisfy their criteria.

St Hugh Lodge welcomes undergraduates, postgraduates and University members, to enjoy Freemasonry in the wider community.  Whilst the minimum age for joining is normally 21 years of age, undergraduates can be admitted from the age of 18 years.
